It was held downtown at Houston’s oldest nightclub, Rich’s.
Packed upstairs and down with partygoers in tuxedos, gowns,
costumes and masks. More costumes at the event this year than last which
was an Egyptian theme. There were several Carmen Mirandas,
shirts with ruffled sleeves and a guy that looked like Peter Allen.
The straight couple in the red & black feather costumes were my favorite.
The woman was in a Josephine Bakeresque, red sequin, 2-piece halter top and shorts.
The dude had on feather covered boots & black biker shorts. Hello.Early 80s music played all night long. We left before the crowd
got too messy because it was open bar and the booze was
flowing like the end of U.S. Prohibition. Laissez les bons temps rouler.
